Proven Health and Beauty Benefits of Vitamin D

          1.) Stronger Bones:

According to researchers, vitamin D is vital for regulating calcium and phosphorus levels in the blood. The combination of the two elements is crucial for keeping our bones strong. When supplementing with vitamin D, the intestines absorb and reclaim calcium, preventing them from excretion by the kidneys. The absorbed calcium keeps the bones strong and lowers the risk of getting rickets, especially for low-immunity people.

          2.) Smooth and Healthy Skin:

Why are vitamin D supplements highly revered among the aging population and people with skin conditions? The answer is simple; because they keep the skin healthy and have anti-aging properties. Excess exposure to sunlight can cause a sunburn or trigger skin cancer, which has caused many to try vitamin D supplements.

3.) For Pregnant and Lactating Mothers:

Vitamin D deficiency in expectant mothers can be fatal since it increases the risk of developing preeclampsia. When a pregnant mother takes enough vitamin D, her health rises significantly. Additionally, when the mother gives birth, the baby’s possibility of developing a food allergy goes down significantly.

          4.) Flu Prevention

According to a study conducted in 2018, researchers established that vitamin D supplements could prevent the flu. There is little information on the efficacy of this treatment, but the preliminary results are promising.

          5.) Hypertension Support

Inadequate vitamin D increases the risk of developing high blood pressure. Several studies have shown that vitamin D deficiency causes the arterial walls to become stiff, increasing the risk of developing several cardiovascular diseases.

The development of vitamin D supplements has come in handy, given the high cases of cardiovascular diseases. You can take the supplements frequently to boost your immunity and lower the risk of developing cardiovascular diseases.

          6.) Weight Reduction

An experiment carried out in 2009 showed that vitamin D supplements were effective in reducing weight. During the investigation, several obese women were put under calcium and vitamin D supplement. After the experiment, researchers found that the combination suppressed appetite, leading to weight loss.
